Psychotherapy & Counselling - Bristol & Online

About Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can help you gain insight into deeply felt difficulties - whether they be well known to you as specific or recurring problems, or perhaps less definable feelings of confusion or lack of meaning in life.

I work collaboratively with you to establish a strong therapeutic relationship in which you can feel safe to freely express yourself and move towards a place of clarity, self-knowledge and acceptance.

The scope of Psychotherapy is vast and all feelings and experiences are welcome. In exploring your sense of self and being in the world, we may uncover complex relational dynamics, early life experiences and past trauma. The space is also open to those who are needing open-ended exploration of feelings that are only partially known or defined. In building awareness of body and mind, we can work together to process your experiences and emotions in a grounded and safe space. As you deepen your understanding of self, you may start to let go of old patterns, restore a sense of balance and begin to build foundations for growth.

About Me

I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist working in private practice in Bristol and online. After working with vulnerable people in the public sector for several years, I completed a Masters in Integrative & Humanistic Psychotherapy at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), accredited by Middlesex University. During my seven years of training, I gained experience working as a Sexual Trauma Counsellor and School Counsellor, as well as offering Psychotherapy to adults via my private practice in East Bristol.

Working from an Integrative framework, I draw upon a multitude of approaches that are adaptable to each individual. I aim to help you deepen your awareness of yourself and your relationships to others in ways which are meaningful and appropriate to you.

In addition to Psychotherapy I offer trauma focused work in the form of individual psychotherapy and bodywork practice TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) for groups and individuals. I am currently developing a range of groupwork programmes for survivors of sexual trauma. For more info please see my Trauma Work page.

First Meeting

Each person coming to Counselling or Psychotherapy brings with them a unique set of circumstances, values, beliefs and background. I work with each person in a way that respects who they are and their situation in life.

As this work can be deep and open ended, it is important for you to find a therapist that is the right fit for you. Our initial session will be used to explore our potential connection and establish an ongoing contract between us. If it feels right for us both, I will then offer weekly Psychotherapy at the same time each week.

The practice is located in Greenbank, close to the Easton/Eastville area of East Bristol, BS5. Online sessions are also available for those wishing to access therapy remotely.
